Ministry Partnership

There are lots of creative ways you can partner with me in this work of building God's kingdom. Below are some ideas.  Feel free to email me (tammy.bixler@intervarsityorg) if you'd like to partner with me in any way.

Other Creative Partnerships
You can also offer your gifts, skills, talents, and experiences to the work of this ministry.  The vast number of gifts and experiences God has graced us with creates a vast number of opportunities for partnership.

Below are some ideas to get your noggin running, but if you've got more ideas of how you'd like to partner with me in this ministry, I'd love to hear from you!  Email me at tammy_bixler@ivstaff.org.
  • Volunteer at one of our leadership conferences.  We have one in the fall (at the end of October) and one in the spring (in May).  You can be a small group leader in one of our tracks, join the worship team, help with the A/V team, be our camp nurse, help with registration...there are lots of opportunities to support us in this way.
  • Provide food for one of our RIT InterVarsity events.  College students love food, and I love feeding them.  You can cook or bake, or if you don't feel like you have the chops but still want to help in this way, I can give you suggestions of what kinds of foods you can purchase.
  • "Adopt" students.  This is especially great for partners in the local Rochester area who have gifts in mentorship, hospitality, and prayer.  Often our students are not from the local area or may not have Christian family/community to care for them or check in with them.  While through InterVarsity we do our best to mobilize students to invest in their peers, I think it's important to connect our students with people who are not in the college setting to provide invaluable insight, prayer, and support.
  • Put together care packages and/or encouraging notes for students during finals weeks or conferences.  What better way to remind students that they are loved and prayed for during stressful times or times of anticipation than with snacks and encouraging words?
  • Come to Rochester to speak!  You can share a topic/issue you're passionate about or share your testimony and life experiences with our students.  You can also have the opportunity to train students in leadership or with tools they could really use during or after college.
  • Take pictures, create videos, or make graphics.  This could be for advertising conferences or sharing testimonies, as well as other possibilities of working directly with students.  You could help me take pictures and make videos to build connections between my students and my team of supporters.
  • Be an advocate for me.  I'm always looking for new ministry partners, and you can help me find them and build relationships.  Networking to develop new connections is not one of my fortes, so sharing about InterVarsity with others and even inviting them to meet with me or consider partnering would be and excellent way to come alongside this ministry.
I would really love the opportunity to develop creative ways for us to partner together.  Just let me know what you're interested in doing or what you'd like to offer and what God may be calling you to, and I'm sure we can work something out together.
