Isaiah
2: 17, 18-“The haughtiness of people shall be humbled, and the pride of everyone
shall be brought low…The idols shall
utterly pass away.” Idolatry is
a function of pride. If pride is
dealt with, so is idolatry. Lord,
help us. We cry out for mercy which
we do not deserve.
Pray
for the thawing of pride—in administration, in faculty, in those who don’t
believe, in those who do believe.
Pray by name for your friends whose pride is keeping them from saying
“Yes!” to Jesus.
Also,
please pray for our need of Area Directors. Recently we have heard from a possible
candidate from another region who may be interested. Ask the Lord to remove any obstacles and
to make his will known.
