Isaiah
6: 5-“Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a
people of unclean lips.” The
prophet recognizes his own sinfulness and names himself among his sinful
neighbors, admitting that their sin is also his sin. Revival
always begins with repentance amongst the faithful.
Lord, pour out your mercy upon us. Cleanse us, stir up a heart of
repentance among your people and so, help us to identify with, and stand
alongside (not lord it over) those with whom we live. Take your coal and thaw our iced
hearts.
